Andrew Thiel

Andrew grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania and eventually moved to Shippensburg, PA where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. During his years in college, God began to stir up a heart for campus ministry and young adults. Throughout his four years in school, Andrew served in his campus ministry through leadership team, worship, small groups, discipleship, retreats, etc. After college, Andrew felt a call to Buffalo, NY and moved up to Western New York in 2017. For three years, he served as the Young Adult Director at the Tabernacle and was on staff with Eagles’ Wings Ministry and the Kairos School of Ministry. After feeling God place a burning in his heart for the region and city, God connected him with Pastor Jon and the NorthGate team. In 2020, Andrew joined NorthGate’s staff as the River Rock Campus coordinator and also married his wonderful wife Sierra Thiel. In 2021, Andrew also stepped into the Small Group Pastor role. Andrew has a heart for worship and to see young people realize their purpose in Jesus.
