Overview
As Jesus left the Eastern side of Jerusalem, there were only 3 pathways that He could take:
– The Bethany Path: This represents the easy path, the easy choice, the warm choice. In Bethany, Jesus had his most close, intimate friendships and relationships.
– The Wilderness Path: This represents withdrawing, going alone, choosing my own path and doing things the way I want to do things. Jesus could have withdrawn himself and fled.
– The Gethsemane Path: This represents the only place where there is the power of the resurrection even though it’s hard. Doing the just thing is hard, doing the Godly thing is hard, but it’s the way of walking in Godly decision and power. Jesus yielded and stopped at Gethsemane.
2 Samuel 15:30 – 32 King David had to leave and cross the Kidron Valley. Those same 3 choices lay ahead of him, and something powerful happened. A man named Hushai met him and helped him with his decision.
At the point of your decision, God has a Hushai for each of us. He cares that we will make the right choice in difficult situations because he has something powerful he wants to do in us and through us. He has a timely word for each decision we are facing.
